Beskrivning av samhällsfrågan

Utökad information om evenemanget

The Baltic Sea's ecosystems are threatened by eutrophication, environmental toxins and many freshwater and coastal ecosystems in the catchment area have been destroyed by physical impacts. A number of large national projects focusing on scaling up action work and implementing the EU's Water Framework Directive and reducing the impact on the Baltic Sea have been started in our neighboring countries. In the seminar, experts from Finland and Estonia together with Swedish experts will reflect on and discuss the following questions: - Which strategies and approaches are successful for scaling up the remediation work? - What are the challenges to succeed in scaling up action on a national level? - How do we organize learning and exchange of experience between the Baltic Sea countries? - What are the next steps for the Swedish work protecting and restoring the Baltic Sea?
