Beskrivning av samhällsfrågan

President Trump's approval ratings are at historic lows, and suddenly even Texas is in play. The 2026 US midterm elections could reshape the balance in Congress, the global economy and Swedish export industry. What would a shift in power mean?

Utökad information om evenemanget

Reform Society takes a deep dive into the US midterm elections together with Matt McMillan, an award-winning international political consultant and campaign strategist with experience from national elections in more than 40 countries and hundreds of congressional, senate and state-level races. We look in particular at the senate race in Texas, where the Democrats' James Talarico – a teacher and theologian who frames progressive politics in Christian terms – faces the Trump-backed and controversial Ken Paxton. What would a shift of power in Congress mean for the US and for Sweden? The format is an informal but well-informed on-stage conversation with plenty of room for questions, input and discussion from the audience.
