What can meaningful sustainability work look like in the games industry? Are there different ways of making video games? What strategies to connect the content of ones game to real-world action can be used, and how to disarm green-washing?

This breakfast seminar takes off from the upcoming book “The game needs to change - sustainability and digital games” written for members of the games industry who are interested in sustainability and making a positive change, and by both members of the game industry and by academics in the field. The seminar discuss what meaningful sustainability work can look like and contrast it to green-washing and highlight starting points for making a change towards real and meaningful sustainability work through examples about ways of making games, strategies to connect the content of ones game to real-world action, and strategies for disarming green-washing. Patrick Prax gives a quick overview over the topic and offers his perspective on the most relevant take-away for Swedish game- and policy makers as well as game design education. The will be breakfast and place for a Q&A.
